Environment
offprompt needs no configuration. These are the variables it reads, and who sets each.

Codex gives an MCP server only a few of its own variables. offprompt's Codex config and plugin
pass on OFFPROMPT_TUNNEL, SSH_CONNECTION, CODESPACES, DISPLAY, WAYLAND_DISPLAY,
CONDUCTOR_WORKSPACE_ID and XDG_CACHE_HOME, and what xdg-open needs to reach your browser on
Linux: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR, XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP, XDG_DATA_DIRS, DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS and
BROWSER. See Codex.
Where offprompt keeps things
Nowhere, for requests: they live in the server's memory and end with it. The project tree and
your home folder are left alone, apart from the files you ask it to write and, from a sandbox, the
cached cloudflared.
